Roasted Grape Crostini with Whipped Ricotta & Goat Cheese

looking for a fun, new appetizer/dish to pass at your next dinner party? these crostinis are easy, yet elegant and will definitely impress your guests. you could also serve them after dinner as cheese course for dessert.

what are they? whipped goat cheese/ricotta spread onto the top of toasted slices of French bread, topped with roasted grapes and drizzled with honey!


Yields: 16 crostinis Prep Time: 15 minutes Bake Time: 15 minutes


¼ cup olive oil, divided

½ lb. seedless red grapes, plucked off their stems

2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

2 rosemary sprigs [or 1 Tbsp. Dried rosemary]

1 tsp. Kosher salt

freshly cracked black pepper

½ cup whole-milk ricotta

4 oz. goat cheese

1 large lemon – juiced and zested

1-2 tsp. Kosher salt

1 large loaf of French bread [or my French bread recipe]

honey, for drizzling


Roasted Grapes

Preheat oven to 400° and prepare a baking sheet with tin foil.

Whisk together the 2 T of balsamic vinegar and 3 T of olive oil in a large bowl.

Add the grapes, 1 tsp. salt and rosemary to the bowl and toss until the grapes are fully coated.

- If using fresh rosemary, only use the leaves of rosemary and discard the stem.

Place the grapes evenly onto the prepared pan and roast for 15 minutes, tossing halfway through.

-The grapes should start to soften and the skin will start to pop/blister.

Whipped Goat/Ricotta Cheese

In a medium-sized bowl, whip together the ricotta, goat cheese, remaining 1 T of olive oil, lemon juice and zest.

Season with salt and pepper.

- You can just use a whisk or a hand-mixer/stand mixer.

Toasted Bread

*you can either use a large store-bought loaf of French bread or use my French Bread recipe.

Slice the bread on the diagonal, into ½-inch slices, brush with olive oil and arrange them evenly onto a baking sheet.

Toast the bread for about 4 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.


Place a dollop of the whipped cheese onto each piece of toasted bread.

Spoon the roasted grapes over the top of the whipped cheese.

Arrange the crostinis onto a serving platter and drizzle with honey.

Optional: top with a bit of fresh lemon zest.
