cranberry sauce

this cranberry sauce is both sweet and tangy with a hint of spice. it is the perfect side dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas and is unbelievably easy with only 4 ingredients and made in less than 15 minutes!

cranberry sauce

yields: 8 servings              cook time: 10-15 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS

1 [12 oz.] bag fresh cranberries

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup orange juice [about 3 oranges]

½ tsp. cinnamon   

 

DIRECTIONS

In a saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar into the orange juice.

Add the cranberries and cinnamon and mix well.

Cook, stirring continuously, until the cranberries start to pop, about 10-15 minutes. 

Remove from the heat and let cool for 30 minutes before transferring to the fridge.

*I like to mash up some of them and leave some whole.
